...you don't know about me, and will probably wish you still didn't know about me when you're done reading. Thanks, Matt, for the tag. :) Too bad I can't re-use the list from the last time I was tagged...
#1 - I wish I could keep my Southern accent when I'm not around other Southerners. My friends tease me about the accent, but secretly I love the attention AND the accent and wish I had it all the time.
#2 - I'm the world's biggest introvert who loves to be the center of attention.
#3 - I really do think I'm pretty (this will come as a shock to those of you who know me in real life).
#4 - I have a KJV in my head. Well, sort of. I do have an insane amount of Scripture memorized (not as much as I used to.....use it or lose it), and it's all KJV.
#5 - Even though I am a huge introvert, I believe God is calling me to one day be a speaker of some sort.
#6 - The older I get, the more rebellious I get, and I don't like it.
#7 - I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. I mean, I like it and all, but there is definitely a point where there is too much chocolate. And milk chocolate is really not as good as people say.
#8 - I love broccoli. Even without cheese on it.
#9 - I'm Southern, but I'm not a big fan of fried chicken.
#10 - This is the weird one. Since I was a kid, I've had an "imaginary friend." But not the normal kind. He's always been inside my head, not some invisible friend who needed his own chair and food and all of that stuff. And he looks like Ziggy. This has often resulted in conversations with myself. I often ask his opinion before I make decisions. Yes, I know, I'm insane. :)
Thanks, Maureen, for the delightful tag... (yes, that was sarcasm). ::grin::

Instructions:
- Grab the nearest book. ('nearest' meaning the nearest book. Don't rummage around for the 'cool' or 'intellectual' book)
- Open the book to page 123.
- Find the fifth sentence.
- Post the text of the next three sentences on your blog along with these instructions
From Velvet Elvis: Repainting the Christian Faith (okay, so I had to do page 124 because 123 was blank)
"They realized that something much bigger was going on here, involving them and the people around them and all of creation. Something involving God making peace with the world and creation being reclaimed and everything in heaven and earth being brough back into harmony with its Creator. But before all the big language and grand claims, the story of Jesus was about a Jewish man, living in a Jewish region among Jewish people, calling people back to the way of the Jewish God."
Well since I got tagged twice for this meme, I guess I have to do it. :) Thanks Jay and Maureen
So...8 things about me that aren't common knowledge (at least to my community here).
1. I have a new boyfriend...and he's the first Christian I've ever dated.
2. My favorite television show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer (yes, even after it's been off the air for 3 years).
3. When I was seven, I ran over my own leg with a riding lawn mower that I was driving! Let me explain...there was no blade on it. It was an old mower that my grandparents kept to haul things (like pinecones) in a trailer. My brother and I were doing just that, and I was driving it. We were unloading pinecones so behind the mower was the big pile of pinecones and in front of the mower was a 6 ft ditch. My brother asked me to put it in 1st and pull up just a little bit. I accidentally put it in 2nd and then my foot slipped off the clutch. The back right wheel caught my foot and began to run over my leg and dragging me into the ditch with it. Luckily, my brother was there and he was able to pull it off of me. I still have a 4 inch scar behind my knee from the experience.
4. I went to college to become a high school English teacher, but got too overwhelmed with the educatioin classes. I got a degree in English that I have never used since I graduated (I work at a Christian non-profit as a database administrator).
5. Until about 6 months ago, I was able to honestly say that I had not had alcohol since I had been legally of age to drink.
6. My favorite movie is Rent.
7. I don't understand the fascination people have with Monty Python.
8. I'm terrified of spiders, and I frequently wake up terrified because I've dreamed that spiders are in my room or even in my bed with me.
So that's it folks! I'm going to tag Mindy (to give her an excuse to post about something lighter than her recent topics) and Dawn (who hasn't posted in a while!)
The ever wonderful Randy tagged me for this meme...
1. Are you craving anything and if so, what?
Eastern NC BBQ! Bojangles! Real sweet tea! Ah...the wonderful foods of the South that you just can't get out west....
2. What is the weather outside, and do you wish it would change?
It actually snowed (briefly) tonight. Yes, it's September 1 and there were snowflakes outside. But hey...it's Colorado. If you don't like the weather wait 5 minutes and it'll change (I mean, it was in the 90s yesterday).
3. What two websites do you think you will go to next after you are finished here?
Blog Explosion and the Bizarre Bids Boards
4. Do you wish you were somewhere else and if so, where?
North Carolina. That's where my whole family is.
5. Do you wish you were someone else, and if so, who?
There are things about me I would change, but I like being me. So no, I don't wish I were someone else.
And I won't tag anyone for this one because nearly everyone who knows about this blog has already been tagged!
